When keeping the tree is no longer practical

Complete removal may be sensible when a tree is severely declining, unstable, storm damaged, obstructive or growing in a place that cannot support it. We first inspect the lean, crown weight and condition, then look at buildings, gardens and access around it. In open ground, there may be enough room to fell the tree as a whole. In a tight back garden, that would be an excellent way to meet the shed unexpectedly, so we may dismantle it in controlled sections instead. Our tree removal plan reflects the usable drop zones and the safest route for handling branches and timber.

From controlled cutting to final clearance

Before cutting, we establish the working area and identify nearby structures, surfaces or planting that need protection. Branches and trunk sections are then lowered or moved according to the chosen method and available space. We manage debris throughout the job so access does not become blocked by a growing pile of material. Once the tree is down, we clear the agreed area and leave it usable. The stump remains a separate decision. It may be left in place, reduced or removed depending on whether you plan to turf, plant, pave or build over that part of the ground.

Frequently asked questions

Does every unwanted tree need to be felled whole?

No. Whole-tree felling needs enough clear space and a suitable fall direction. Where buildings, boundaries or planting restrict the area, we can consider controlled dismantling in smaller sections instead.

What happens to the timber and branches?

We agree how cut material will be handled before starting. Access, volume and the job scope affect the practical arrangement. We keep the working route organised and clear the site to the condition set out in your quote.

Is stump removal included with tree removal?

Stump work is a separate decision because not every site needs it. We consider your plans for the ground, machine access and nearby structures, then explain whether treating the visible stump or more extensive roots is appropriate.
